Who is David Greenberg?
David Greenberg is an author and poet from Portland, Oregon. He started writing at the age of 17, but after college he decided to make it his career. He describes the persistence needed to be a writer. After many, many rejections, he finally received a publication offer when he was 27 years old! He recalls this day as one of the happiest of his life. This story was Slugs, and later he was asked to create three more titles in this series: Bugs, Snakes, and Crocs. Greenberg is a zany, fun writer. He’s has a version of Mother Goose’s tales, a story book on ettiquette, and another on the reasons why girls bug boys and boys bug girls! Currently Mr. Greenberg has two new styles coming out: one is the story of lions taking Rose on a night’s journey. The other story is a novel about his father. David Greenberg’s father, Jack Greenberg, was Dr. Martin Luther King’s attorney. Mr. Greenberg’s writing–whether serious or whacky–is enjoyable. He’s a charming, enthusiastic, and captivating author and presenter.
