Where’s a good place to get news about the Web?
Mashable is the place to go for any news about the Web–in fact, that’s their logo:
Mashable is a blog about all the new noteworthy programs, softwares, gadgets, social networks, and blogs that newly surface or just deserve a spotlight on the Web. There are several writers for Mashable, but it was started by Pete Cashmore. There are many different areas of focus: for example, there are whole sections of posts just for Facebook or just for iPhones–just to name two. These categories can be found on the rotating ribbon badge upon entering the site. This site could be used to learn about new Internet or technological features, or it could be used to educate users as to technologies they might be hearing about. Either way, it’s a must site to keep among the favorites for those who enjoy the Web and learning about all it has to offer.
Mashable used to be a great site, but (in my opinion) the standard of the posts has been falling over the last 18 months. Sites about the web that still have a place in my RSS feed reader include:
