I’ve got this song stuck in my head, and I don’t know the words. Do you know of any good lyrics sites?
That’s the worst! You get a song stuck in your mind but you just don’t know the words to the song. Sometimes you don’t know the words, the artist, or the title of the song. That’s ok. The following three lyric search engines are really good. You’ll definitely be able to find the words to the song stuck in your mind with one of these three sites:
A* Z Lyrics–I put this phrase of a song by the Killers into this lyric search engine and it found the song: “are we human or are we dancer.” I never knew if that last word in the chorus was “dancer” or not. It didn’t matter; A*Z Lyrics found the song.
Lyrics.com–Here you can search by song title or artist. What’s neat about this site are the videos attached to songs when you search. For example, when I searched for the words to “Mama Mia,” a video from YouTube started for me to watch if I wanted. This lyric search engine also gave me a description write-up of the band, Abba.
metrolyrics–This is a very extensive search engine. When I put in these lines “if you like pina coladas”, it instantly came up with Jimmy Buffet’s song. I then had the entire list of lyrics to read. The neat thing about this site is you can add RSS feeds from it if you like.
Oooh, and don’t forget Midomi – this is one of my favorites, especially when you don’t know the lyrics but you know the tune! You can hum or sing into your computer, upload it to the site, and it will tell you what song it is!
