Who is Donna Jo Napoli?

Donna Jo Napoli is both a linguist and an award winning author. Linguistics is the study of languages, and Ms. Napoli also teaches linguistics to university students. She stumbled upon writing and feels lucky to be an author. Ms. Napoli has written picture books, books for early readers, and young adult books.  She has a long list of young adult books including popular Zel and award winning Stones in Water.  Her newest book is called Smile; it’s about the famous subject of the Mona Lisa.  

Ms. Donna Jo Napoli will visit the American School of Bombay on the days of April 13-16. She’ll have a chance to visit all middle school language arts classes plus the 4th and 5th grade. We will be lucky to have such a talented author visit us!
