Dear Librarian, where are you now?

My family and I have recently moved from Beijing to Hong Kong. I will now be serving as the high school librarian at Hong Kong International School (HKIS). HKIS is a large school with approximately 2600 students in four different divisions: lower primary, upper primary, middle school, and high school. There are two campuses for this school on the south side of Hong Kong Island; the lower and upper primary are on the Repulse Bay campus, and the middle school and high school are on the Tai Tam campus.

Here's the amazing view from my office. The high school library is situated in the best part: with views of Tai Tam bay!

The students at HKIS are very diverse coming from 40 different countries around the world. The curricular program is rigorous offering an American style education with AP classes in the high school. Most importantly, the students are said to be amazing! I can’t wait to find out when school starts Wednesday, August 15.
